An elevator is a lifting and transporting device that transports elevator passengers or loads in a vertical direction along rigid steel elevator rails. As a rule, the elevator moves inside the elevator shaft. Elevator speed ranges from 0.15 m/s to 10 m/s and higher. The lifting capacity of the elevator reaches 20 tons.
